Mixer Brush Tool Painting

For this project, we had to make a photo look like it was painted. I used a combination of several brushes, mainly the mixer brush tool to accomplish this.

Digital Painting

This was a skills practice teaching us how to digitally paint using Photoshop. I used the eyedropper tool with my reference image to get my colors and experimented with different brush textures.

I used a combination of several tools to accomplish this restoration including crop, adjustments, mixer brush tool, spot healing, and several others.

Album Cover Front

This front cover is made from three photos layered with a masked stained glass opaque black shape. The glowing letters were made experimenting with blending modes.

The back cover is made with a stock photo base and a custom lightning shape with a custom gradient with spray paint brushed on top to look weathered.

From New to Old

This photo was made to look old using several filters layered and a cloud filter with a clipping mask so that the subjects are in focus. Certain elements were blended out like brand names on clothing to make the age look more convincing.

Using Masks

This was a skills practice made by turning text into a clipping mask and placing different pictures in each one.

This is the before photo that has a lot of extra clutter and unnecessary details. multiple types of selections were made to remove them.

Skills Practice After

Circled are all the changed aspects of the photo. I used multiple selection tools to enlarge the subject, remove clutter, and cover up distracting details.
